This week on X Factor 2012 the theme was Number Ones and Ella Henderson chose to do a stripped back version of Katie Perry’s number one hit Firework. Ella said she had been feeling like it had all become too much about the weekly themes, rather than really connecting with the songs she was singing. So this week Ella wanted to go back to how she was when she first auditioned.
In the build up for this week Ella met up with No Doubt and told them she had literally been in tears this week trying to choose the right song to sing. No Doubt reassured the young songstress and said Firework was an amazing song choice.

Whilst walking down the red carpet of the Pride of Britain awards, Ella Henderson was challenged by the Mirror on how she felt about being the bookies favourite to win X Factor 2012. Not forgetting Ella is only 16 years old (even though Gary Barlow says its insulting to keep pointing this out), the pressure of everyone expecting Ella to go far in the competition, even win it, must be mounting for her.

Halloween this week on X Factor 2012 and what a week it was. Filled with scary costumes, spooky staging and the judges throwing insults at each other (below the belt Gary Barlow), it was another week not to be missed. Not the best week for Ella Henderson though with her first real criticisms received from some of the judges.
The young talented Ella chose to sing Evanescence’ ‘Bring Me To Life’, a huge song, but of course we know now just how big little Ella’s voice is. Mixed reviews from the judges though this week, the panel was split down the middle. Louis Walsh praised the 16 year old contestant for her spooky performance as of course did Tulisa, her mentor. However Nicole looked pained to say that she thought this weeks performance was Ella’s worst to date. She felt the key was too low and therefore made the performance anticlimactic. Gary Barlow hinted that he did not like the song choice but still congratulated Ella on another amazing performance.

Dance and club classics week. We’ve got to admit, like all other Ella followers we have been wondering what is she going to be able to pull out of the bag with this theme? It’s the theme that fellow contestants such as Rylan have been eagerly awaiting but it can’t be one Ella was looking forward to surely. However, is there anything this young talented artist can’t turn her hand to? Ella did a knockout performance of Candy Staton’s You’ve Got The Love, you can’t get a bigger club classic than that. Not only were her vocals right on point as usual but this week she brought to the stage dancing! Yes, you heard us right Ella shook her booty to the dance track along with two other backing dancers, which Nicole pointed out after the performance were not up to Ella’s standard.

Ella Henderson, already a bookies favourite to win was on fire at this weeks live show for the theme of love and heartbreak. Singing a classic, Minnie Ripperton’s Loving You, the same thing was on everyone’s mind, will she get the high note? Ella was looking stunning as usual, so grown up and graceful. This young songstress does not bother with stage props or distractions, every week she just brings to the stage her amazing talent.

This week was not a let down either. Of course she hit the high note we were all waiting for in suspense and the way she sang the song once again made everyone forget the original and purely focus on her in the moment. There are not many singers at all, even established world class artists who would manage to hit that note and to do it so fantastically as Ella did, is a major achievement for the 16 year old.
Ella Henderson, the young 16 year old pretty and talented contestant of X Factor 2012 has had all sorts of rumours around romance amongst herself and other male contestants in this years competition. Well the press have got to get there gossip from somewhere and her being the only young, straight female in the show now means she’s going to be at the core of a lot of this gossip.
Ella Henderson and George Shelley in X Factor romance
One contestant in particular she has been rumoured to be having a romance with is Union J’s George Shelley and what a cutey he is! Ella has not yet wanted to say they are an item or getting serious but she has admitted she thinks he’s very cute. Ella has stated there simply isn’t enough time whilst she remains in the competition to even contemplate getting into a relationship, she says there schedules are jam packed and therefore she thinks nothing will happen during the X Factor competition. She hasn’t said there is not possibility following the competition though so keep your eyes and ears peeled and we suspect a blossoming romance between Ella Henderson and George Shelley. What a cute couple they would make too.
Next of the live shows this evening, can’t wait to see what Ella brings to the competition this week, good luck Ella!
Take That Rule The World, a brave choice by 16 year old Ella Henderson to sing at the first of the live X Factor shows, especially seeing as Gary Barlow wrote and performed that song! Despite the pressure Ella said she was thoroughly enjoying the X Factor competition now. She was looking fab, with her unique style and trademark winged eyelashes being made the most of to the maximum. Building up to the live shows Ella had been getting used to having lots of photo shoots and TV appearances, something we think she will need to get used to as its looking as though she will be having a lot more of these in her future.
Although excited Ella did appear to find the whole experience surreal, she said she was over whelmed at times, going from Grimsby, singing in her house to suddenly being on live TV on X Factor, bookies favourite to win X Factor 2012! Tulisa has definitely appeared to build a good rapport with the 16 year old Ella Henderson though and it appears as though Ella can easily turn to her mentor for emotional support as well as a mentor for the competition.

Ella Henderson flew through the first auditions and smashed it at Bootcamp and now it was time for one of the most nerve wracking rounds; judges houses. Tulisa had already stated Ella Henderson was one contestant she hoped to mentor and Simon Cowell had made this happen for her as he gave Tulisa the girls to mentor.
At Tulisa’s house in St Lucia Ella talked about how much the competition had made her realise how important singing was to her, that she had always enjoyed singing but now she felt as though this was what she should be doing in her life now. Ella said she felt excited about the X Factor competition now but that she was also scared and homesick too, especially missing her big sister with whom she is very close.

Time for Bootcamp and for this Ella Henderson had a lot to live up to after the amazing performance she gave at the first auditions. Ella stated she wanted to do something ‘a little out there’, something that she would not normally sing, so she chose to sing Cher’s Do You Believe In Life After Love. The song sounded completed transformed when Ella sang it, her unique powerful voice sang a much slower version of the song than we are used to hearing and it gave the so a whole new meaning.

The youngest contestant on this years X Factor, Ella Henderson is just 16 years old. From Lincolnshire, Ella stated on her first audition that her inspiration for singing came from her late Grandad Bill for whom she used to sing to. This young star has been writing her own songs since the measly age of 13 years old!
Her first audition was in front of judges Gary Barlow, Melanie B, Tulisa and Louis. Mel B had been particularly harsh on that day of auditions and young Ella appeared nervous before going on stage to bravely sing her own song that she had written as a tribute to her Grandad.
